Check out our highlights video from our ever so talented exec Anneliza!

We at FABSOC were very honoured and excited to receive invitations to see Justin Cassin at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week last week. We all of course immediately panicked about what to wear, how to acessorise, how to glam, but I'm sure you can see from the picture above, we all came out looking ready to kill! (not biased at all). We met some new faces, from the winners our comp with Justin Cassin, and made some new friends.

One of our eagle eyed execs noticed former Bachelor star Matty J with his beau Laura not far from where we were posing for the group shot, which was our first glimpse of celebrity of the night! Alan Tsibulya, fashionista comedian extraordinaire rocked an incredible orange outfit sponsored by Fanta.
Following Justin Cassin, our amazing President Bianca managed to score us invites into the next show for contemporary label Akira! Read on to see what our Treasurer Mai, had to say of her experience.
AKIRA - VICIOUS BEAUTY

Thursday night was definitely one to remember, as Akira Isogawa's 25th anniversary collection was shown at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. The collection, titled 'Vicious Beauty' was both charismatic and outgoing.

Akira Isogawa's inspiration for this collection came about when a fabric shop gave him a box of 80's fabric swatches, shortly before closing down. With this he created, without a doubt, an admirable collection.

Watching the show itself was definitely inspiring. The atmosphere was one of intensity, accompanied by fierce models and met by an enthusiastic crowd.

A personal favourite of mine was the oversized pink tartan collared shirt, accompanied by a coat and shorts. The differing tones of pink definitely caught my eye upon first seeing it, and I am undoubtedly in love with the entire look!

Akira Isogawa successfully and beautifully displayed his creativity and talent through this collection. The abstract nature of the pieces did not go unnoticed - the entire collection being well received by those viewing.

From sequins to ruffles, bright colours to soft tones, the vicious beauty of this collection can not be denied.
